About this funding

This funding covers one 30 point paper per student for Semester B, 2024 only.

It is intended to support those nurses on a Nurse Practitioner or Designated Nurse Prescriber pathway.

No funding for travel or release from your work is available.

Eligible papers

Registered Nurse Prescribing pathway (NCNZ approved courses):

  • HLTSC501: Health Assessment and Clinical Decision-Making for Registered Nurses 
  • HLTSC502: Applied Science 
  • HLTSC507: Pharmacological Therapy 
  • HLTSC508: Prescribing Practicum  

 

Nurse Practitioner Pathway (NCNZ approved courses):

  • HLTSC501: Health Assessment and Clinical Decision-Making for Registered Nurses 
  • HLTSC502: Applied Science 
  • HLTSC507: Pharmacological Therapy 
  • HLTSC508: Prescribing Practicum  
  • HLTSC503: Specialty Knowledge in Nursing Practice  
  • HLTSC510: Advanced Practice Role Development 
  • HLTSC509: Advanced Clinical Practicum 
  • HLTSC511: Mātanga Tapuhi (Nurse Practitioner) Prescribing Practicum

Please note that it is essential that your employer is aware that you are applying for this funding, is supportive of your plan to study in Semester B, and that they are supporting/will support you on the Nurse Practitioner or Designated Nurse Prescriber pathway. You will be required to have a letter of support from your manager to complete the online application.
